“Harriet” will speak to her audience about her early life on the Maryland plantation she was born and enslaved, her escape from slavery up to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and beyond to freedom!
This inspirational interpretation of Harriet Tubman’s amazing long life includes her return trips to that same Maryland plantation, as she led many others to freedom and about the people who helped her as well. Learn about several other history makers she became to know along the way. Learn about how and why she had to continue her harrowing journey further north up to New York State and into Canada. Plus, her amazing life during and post the American Civil War era and her work with women’s suffrage movement. We will end with talk about Bucks County's Underground Railroad "stops.".
